The Technical Recruiter is responsible for identifying, engaging, and hiring high-quality talent to support Standard Nuclear’s engineering, manufacturing, and operational growth. This role partners closely with hiring managers to understand technical requirements, develop sourcing strategies, and manage candidates through the full recruiting lifecycle.
This is a hands-on recruiting role focused on building pipelines for specialized technical positions in a competitive market. The Technical Recruiter will proactively source candidates, assess qualifications, and drive hiring processes from initial outreach through offer acceptance. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to represent the company effectively to candidates.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Full-Cycle Recruiting
- Manage the full recruiting lifecycle from role kickoff through offer acceptance
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, candidate profiles, and hiring strategies
- Coordinate and manage interview processes, including scheduling, feedback collection, and candidate communication
- Drive timely hiring decisions and ensure a positive candidate experience
Sourcing & Talent Pipeline Development
- Proactively source candidates using LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and direct outreach
- Build and maintain pipelines for engineering, manufacturing, and technical roles
- Identify and engage passive candidates with relevant experience in industrial and regulated environments
- Develop targeted sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill roles
Candidate Evaluation & Screening
- Conduct initial candidate screenings to assess technical alignment, experience, and cultural fit
- Evaluate resumes and candidate backgrounds against role requirements
- Partner with hiring managers to refine candidate selection criteria
Offer Management & Closing
- Support development and delivery of competitive offers in coordination with leadership
- Manage candidate expectations throughout the hiring process
- Drive offer acceptance through clear communication and engagement
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Track recruiting metrics including pipeline health, time-to-fill, and candidate conversion rates
- Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes, efficiency, and candidate quality
- Support development of structured interview processes and hiring best practices
Employer Branding & Candidate Experience
- Represent Standard Nuclear to candidates in a professional and accurate manner
- Communicate company mission, work environment, and growth opportunities clearly
- Ensure a consistent and positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-3 years of experience in technical recruiting, preferably supporting engineering, manufacturing, or industrial roles
- Experience recruiting for hardware, manufacturing, or regulated industries (nuclear, aerospace, defense, energy, or similar)
- Strong sourcing skills and experience engaging passive candidates
- Ability to understand and communicate technical role requirements
- Experience managing multiple roles in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, etc.)
- Ability to work closely with hiring managers and influence hiring decisions

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role is based in Oak Ridge, TN and involves a combination of office-based work and close collaboration with hiring managers across engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams.
