Why This Role Matters

The QSHE Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the organization maintains high standards in Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental (QSHE) management. The role supports compliance with regulatory requirements, international standards, and internal policies while promoting a safe, healthy, and sustainable workplace. By monitoring performance, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives, the QSHE Officer helps protect employees, maintain operational excellence, and support responsible environmental practices.

 

What You’ll Drive

  • Implement and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001.
  • Conduct internal audits, inspections, and compliance checks.
  • Monitor product and service quality and recommend improvement actions.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Enforce workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification across operations.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents and prepare detailed reports.
  • Organize safety training sessions and awareness programs for employees.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment.
  • Monitor occupational health programs and coordinate medical check-ups when required.
  • Promote workplace wellness and employee health initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Implement and maintain Environmental Management Systems (EMS) such as ISO 14001.
  • Monitor waste management and pollution control practices.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability standards.
  • Support environmental impact assessments when required.
  • Maintain QSHE documentation, records, and reporting systems.
  • Prepare reports for management and regulatory authorities.
  • Liaise with external auditors, inspectors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across QSHE processes.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and international standards.

You’re a Great Fit If You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISO Lead Auditor (preferred).
  • 2–5+ years of experience in QSHE, HSE, or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in a school or educational environment (preferred).
