Job description
The Training & Facility Manager is responsible for the day-to-day training operations and facility upkeep at the Bosch Home Comfort Campus in Irving, Texas. This is a largely autonomous role — the successful candidate will be a self-starter who takes ownership of their campus, manages their own priorities, and operates with minimal day-to-day supervision. At the same time, this person is an integral part of the broader Bosch team, collaborating regularly with trainers, developers, and leadership across the four-campus network. This individual serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Bosch products across the Bosch network — the go-to technical authority for Bosch commercial and residential HVAC systems, controls, and applications. In addition to delivering training, this role owns the on-site facility operations, ensuring classes run smoothly, equipment is properly maintained, and the campus consistently reflects the professional standards of the Bosch network.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Training Delivery & Program Management
- Plan, schedule, and deliver Bosch commercial and residential HVAC training courses at the Irving campus
- Develop and update course materials, lab exercises, and assessments in coordination with Bosch content standards
- Manage class registration, rosters, and post-training records in the Bosch learning management system (Litmos)
- Coordinate with the Bosch hub (Oklahoma City) on training calendars, curriculum updates, and network-wide initiatives
- Support Certified Training Center (CTC) program activities as directed, including instructor-led sessions for authorized training partners
- Serve as the Bosch network's Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all Bosch products — providing authoritative technical guidance to trainers, students, and field technicians across North America
- Collaborate with Bosch product teams and Bosch engineering to stay current on new products, firmware updates, and application changes, translating that knowledge into training content
- Provide technical support to students and field technicians related to Bosch equipment, controls, and system design
Facility Operations & Maintenance
- Serve as the on-site facility manager responsible for the overall condition and upkeep of the Bosch Campus building, grounds, and training spaces
- Identify building and infrastructure issues (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, etc.) and take ownership of resolution — sourcing, coordinating, and managing qualified third-party contractors to complete repairs
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all vendors, contractors, and building management — obtaining quotes, scheduling work, and ensuring quality outcomes with minimal disruption to training operations
- Conduct regular walk-throughs and inspections of the training space, labs, common areas, and building systems to proactively identify maintenance needs before they become problems
- Manage lab equipment and training units — including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of demonstration systems
- Coordinate and document preventive maintenance schedules for both building systems and training equipment
- Manage consumable inventory (tools, parts, supplies) and submit purchase requests as needed
- Ensure the facility meets all applicable safety requirements, local codes, and Bosch brand standards
Administrative & Reporting
- Track and report training attendance, completion rates, and student feedback to Bosch leadership
- Manage local campus expenses and submit receipts/invoices in accordance with company policy
- Communicate proactively with the Associate Director regarding scheduling conflicts, facility issues, and program needs
- Participate in Bosch network meetings, trainer huddles, and professional development activities
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of hands-on HVAC/R field experience, with demonstrated proficiency in commercial and/or residential systems
- Deep working knowledge of Bosch commercial and residential HVAC systems, including VRF, mini-split, and applied equipment — Bosch field or factory experience required
- EPA 608 Universal certification
- Experience delivering technical training or instruction in a classroom or field setting
- Experience reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and engineering specifications
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally within the Bosch network
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or technical certification in HVAC/R, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field
- Prior experience managing a training facility, lab environment, or field service branch
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) or online training platforms
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage the full scope of campus operations without day-to-day supervision
- Proven ability to prioritize competing demands, take initiative, and follow through without being prompted
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort learning new software tools
