Job description
Supporting our Morwell branch and South East VIC region, in the position of Occupational Therapist on a Casual Basis. You will support injured or ill workers in regaining functional capacity and independence with their ADLs within the home and community. You will collaborate with clients, employers, medical professionals, and insurers to deliver evidence-based, goal oriented interventions.
Every day is different but each day you will have the opportunity to assist people to return to wellness, work and ultimately experience an improved quality of life.
Some of your day to day includes:
- Conduct comprehensive ADL assessments to evaluate an individual's functional abilities and support needs within the home and/or community to promote their independence.
- Liaise with employers, case managers, medical professionals, and insurers to provide clinical updates and ensure alignment of rehabilitation goals.
- Make recommendations for equipment, home modifications, or support services based on assessment findings.
- Identify suitable equipment and service providers, including attendance to equipment trials where indicated.
- Prepare timely, high-quality reports outlining findings, recommendations, and clinical reasoning.
- Educate clients and families on adaptive strategies, energy conservation, and safe task performance.

You'll be a driven and energetic professional with hopefully all of the qualities below!
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Full Professional Registration with AHPRA or eligibility to obtain
- Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded;
- Fabulous communication skills - there is a lot of getting to know your clients and stakeholders!;
- Compassion and kindness always go a long way as does empathy;
- It's the kind of career where well developed time management skills are a must & plus!;
- A current Driver’s License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance is a must.
