UAP Inc. is actively looking for a strong, results-driven, and relationship-focused professional to take on the role of Major Accounts Director Western Canada. You are an entrepreneurial, independent, highly self-motivated, and driven to achieve a comprehensive set of performance metrics and quantitative measures.
Reporting to the Senior VP West and Central, you are responsible for providing a total solution experience to our partners. You are responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities as well as enhancing existing relationships, by implementing sales development initiatives and strategies.
Your key areas of responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
- Demonstrated ability to lead both internal and external stakeholders, leveraging a strong business acumen. Must be adept at leading, influencing, developing credibility, and trust, through a collaborative and consultative approach.
- Management and development of the major account portfolio which includes national and regional service provider groups, fleet, government, and car dealership groups.
- Direct reports include 2 business development specialists.
- Proactively identify new sales opportunities (regionally and nationally) and develop plans to grow sales; and implement sales development strategies and support. Negotiate new agreements and portfolio growth.
- Partnership Management: Relationship building, nurturing, partnership enhancing, innovating, maintaining relationships.
- Development of marketing programs & strategies
To join our team, you need:
- 7-10 years of experience in Business Development and/or Account Management in the automotive or related sector preferred (3 of which include team leadership)
- Proficiency in Microsoft office
- Must have a proven track record in working within a complex sales environment and be involved in the key decision-making process related to account management.
- This position will require up to 30% travel within your assigned region; therefore, we are looking for someone that is comfortable with travel and that holds a valid driver license and clean drivers abstract.
- Experience in the automotive aftermarket an asset
- University Degree (preferred), Marketing major or equivalent experience.
