Job description
In order to be able to manage our strong growth and our IT transformation, we are looking for actors in engine and databases deployment. Inside the CoC Database team, you will work in an international context on the deployment projects in operational condition of the future database servers for which we are responsible.
Your role is mainly to manage deployment tasks on intermediate level (L2).
- Work using ticketing tool (BMC Helix), to manage the requests queue;
- Work with or use our deployment tools (Terraform and Octopus) to be able to deploy packaged Operating System, packaged database engines and packaged databases;
- Be able to understand our deployment and to perform checks to guarantee the delivery;
- Cooperate closely with Project Managers to know priorities;
- Cooperate closely with the rest of IT Infrastructure & Operations, Architecture and Security teams;
- Communicate with our customer to offer a real customer service;
- Hands-on configure and deployment the most crucial elements of Eurofins global database platforms;
- Manage First and 2nd level of technical support IT Incidents and communicate with our customers or services;
- Respect processes and documentation;
- Forward bottleneck issue or process issue to contribute to continuous improvement.
Professional Experience
- 1–2+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator (DBA).
- Proven experience working within infrastructure, operations, or project delivery teams.
- Background in a global or multinational company, with a strong ability to collaborate effectively across distributed international teams.
Technical Proficiency
- Database Engines: Strong working knowledge of MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
- Operating Systems: Proficient in both Linux and Windows environments.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Comfortable working with Microsoft Azure. Experience managing both On-Premise and Cloud environments (including AWS and Google Cloud) is highly desirable.
- Scripting & Languages: Solid skills in Transact-SQL (T-SQL) and PowerShell.
- Deployment & Automation: Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and deployment tools, specifically Terraform. (Note: Training can be provided for Octopus Deploy).
