Job description

We are seeking a Financial Controller responsible for the overall financial management of the Canadian business, including financial reporting, planning, and control. You will own the integrity of financial results and SaaS performance metrics, ensuring alignment with head office reporting and group standards. The successful candidate is a hands-on, detail-oriented finance leader who can operate independently while partnering effectively across the business. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Prepare and deliver monthly Management Accounts and Executive Board reporting. Lead month-end close, including oversight and review of Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement. Own the preparation, analysis, and integrity of SaaS KPIs (e.g., MRR, ARR, churn, ARPU), ensuring alignment with financial results. Reconcile financial results and SaaS metrics with head office reporting, investigating and resolving variances. Lead annual budgeting and rolling P&L and cash flow forecasting. Ensure compliance with group accounting policies, controls, and reporting requirements. Partner with key stakeholders, such as external accountants on statutory filings, including HST and corporate tax. Complete payroll and commissions calculations, and oversee accounts receivable, and accounts payable functions. Maintain and strengthen financial controls across the business. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA designation with a minimum of 5+ years post-qualification experience Proven experience in financial reporting, month-end close, and management accounts Strong understanding of SaaS business models and key metrics Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Strong knowledge of revenue recognition principles Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines and work independently BENEFITS What you'll get Why work at LEAP? We offer: Competitive compensation with a base salary plus bonus structure. The base salary band for this role ranges from: $110,000 CAD - $140,000 CAD annually. Salary will be based on level of experience.
