Fleet Operator

Iason Hellenic Shipping Co. Ltd , a well-established ship management company operating a fleet of 6 modern dry bulk carriers , is seeking a motivated and skilled Fleet Operator to join its Operations Department in Athens, Greece.

The Fleet Operator plays a crucial role in the efficient and cost-effective execution of the vessels’ voyages. The duties of this role include: Liaising with Masters, charterers, agents, and technical departments Supporting day-to-day operations and ensuring smooth voyage execution Reviewing and analysing the voyage planning devised by Masters for clarity and compliance Preparing or reviewing detailed stowage plans using the corresponding loading software Monitoring vessel performance and benchmarking against charter party warranties The sought-after candidate should bring both seafaring and shore-based experience to the role, along with strong analytical and communication skills, possessing: Experience on board dry bulk carriers as Chief Officer or Second Officer At least 2 years of shore-based experience in the Operations Department of a company operating bulk carriers A university degree in shipping or a related maritime Familiarity with voyage performance analysis and benchmarking practices Excellent command of English , both spoken and written Strong teamworking and communication skills Solid working knowledge of MS Office , particularly Excel
