SR. WELDING & FABRICATION TECHNICIAN

Primary Purpose of the Job To perform & supervise all types of welding procedures and all type of fabrication works by referring to engineering drawings, specifications, sketches and field data for all type of materials and equipment installed at the refinery site, including heat exchangers, vessels, heaters, boilers, turbines, pumps, castings, special equipment, etc. and within workshop including arranging consumables, equipment, tools, permits and preparations for the job. To supervise a group of contractors’ manpower including welders, fabricators, pipe, fitters, scaffolders, insulators, etc. for safe execution of work at site and within workshop. Required Experience and Skills 8 years of working experiences in construction and/or Oil and Gas / Petrochemical environment. Good Command in English (both spoken & written). Should be able to work as a member of the team Should be able to solve problems during Workshop activities To be familiar with fabrication, welding & repair maintenance on various types of materials used in Refinery, knowledge of Refinery stationary & rotary equipment, heaters, boilers, etc. To be able to supervise contractors’ manpower & services and to carry out the jobs as per procedure. Educational Qualifications Minimum 12 years of school education, formal professional certifications in fabrication and/or welding, B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering or Higher National Diploma in the relevant discipline Minimum 12 years of school education, formal professional certifications in fabrication and/or welding, B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering or Higher National Diploma in the relevant discipline 8 years of working experiences in construction and/or Oil and Gas / Petrochemical environment. Good Command in English (both spoken & written).
