💼 Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Data Center Technician to join our dynamic Regional Data Center team. This role offers excellent opportunities to develop your technical expertise within a growing infrastructure environment.
🎯 What you will do (Key Responsibilities)
- Take the lead in coordinating and supervising internal contractor and vendor activities onsite, ensuring seamless Portal clearance, resource scheduling, and adherence to Bosch best practices and colocation house rules
- Serve as the first responder and Level 1 hands-on support for all IT Infrastructure incidents and issues, gaining valuable experience in real-world troubleshooting
- Develop your technical skills through hands-on troubleshooting of IT Infrastructure systems hosted within the data center environment
- Contribute to quality assurance by conducting periodic checks on housing and infrastructure standards, working in alignment with our Singapore data center specialist team
- Collaborate with IT Infrastructure teams on exciting projects and physical hardware rollout activities, including power management, data cabling, rack-and-stack operations, and basic BMC configuration
- Play a key role in Stock and Consumable management, maintaining inventory organisation and initiating timely backfill of spare parts as required
- Support the efficient movement of goods between data centers and office locations, ensuring operational continuity across our facilities.
👤 What We're Looking For (Qualifications & Skills)
- Diploma or ITE qualification in Information Technology, Computing, or related Infocom fields
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience working within a data center environment
- Demonstrated ability to work with meticulous attention to detail, self-motivation, and independent problem-solving capabilities
- Willingness to work flexibly across diverse settings, including office and offsite locations
- Capacity to provide ad-hoc support outside standard hours on a mutually agreed schedule
- Physical capability to perform operational tasks such as lifting, cabling, and equipment handling
- Working knowledge of copper and fibre deployment practices, with eagerness to develop proficiency in testing and cleaning equipment for troubleshooting purposes
- Experience with HPE x86 servers, Cisco networking solutions, ITIL frameworks, and DCIM tools is highly valued and will strengthen your application.
