Job description
Kickstart your career in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) as part of SGS's Inspections team as a Junior Inspector. This is your chance to learn and develop skills towards Level 1 and Level 2 NDT techniques for upstream examinations, with a mix of in-house and external training to help you become a critical part of our team.
We welcome applications from candidates located in Adelaide or Perth!
What you’ll do:
- Gain knowledge of equipment manufacture, processing, and functional use according to industry standards
- Learn multiple NDT methods (EMI, MT, PT, UT, etc.)
- Prepare, clean, inspect, and maintain tools and equipment
- Assist with inspections and examinations of OCTG and associated drilling/production equipment
- Conduct and report NDT inspections in a timely manner
- Maintain a neat and safe work environment with good housekeeping
- Participate in calibration, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Comply with ISO:9001 and ISO/IEC:17025 standards
What we’re looking for:
- No prior NDT experience required — full training provided
- Driver’s license preferred
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious
- Motivated to learn and grow in a technical, high-demand field
