Position Summary:
In this position, the candidate will assist in investigating the brain correlates of impulsivity.
Description of research project: The candidate will help process and analyze neuroimaging data from the ABCD dataset, in consultation with graduate students with the appropriate expertise.
Intellectual input to the research analysis: The incumbent will be expected to independently (i) write the code to analyze the dataset, including documentation; (ii) quality control the code and analysis result; (iii) relate genetic and phenotypic measures to brain anatomy.
Decision making and judgment in experimental design: The candidate will be principally responsible for the design, development and quality control of the data analysis in consultation with lab members and under the supervision of the principal investigator.
Data analysis: The incumbent will carry out analysis of the imaging data and actively participate in the design and execution of further studies.
Contribution to manuscripts/publications: The incumbent is expected to design and execute experiments and analyse data independently under regular supervision. He/she will analyse and prepare the data in final forms for presentation. He/she will also be required to prepare text and figures for manuscripts. He/she will thus be a contributing author to the resulting publications.
Other requirements and contributions: The position requires a strong background in coding (Python, R), good communication skills, and basic knowledge of brain imaging.

Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level 4 on a scale of 0-4.
