Manual QA Tester

Octal Philippines Inc. is seeking a Manual QA Tester to ensure the quality and functionality of our software products by performing manual testing procedures. You will be responsible for executing test cases, identifying bugs, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues and improve overall software quality. Design, develop, and execute detailed manual test cases based on product requirements. Perform functional, regression, and usability testing across different platforms. Identify, document, and track defects thoroughly, and communicate findings to the engineering team. Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback from a testing perspective. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain quality standards and deliver a seamless user experience.

Manual Testing: Technical Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of QA experience. Experience in the Fintech sector—specifically regarding transactional integrity and high-concurrency environments—is a strong plus. Test Development: Proven expertise in designing and executing comprehensive end-to-end manual test suites. Negative Testing Specialist: Skilled in Edge Case testing (e.g., handling insufficient funds, expired tokens, and network timeouts during active transactions). End-to-End User Journeys: Ability to map and test complex user flows, from onboarding/KYC to final settlement and reporting. API Testing: Demonstrated ability to validate backend integrations via RESTful API testing using tools such as Postman or RestAssured .
