Job description
The Group Sustainability & Compliance Director leads Tagaddod’s sustainability governance, certification integrity, and compliance systems across all current and future markets, including Egypt, Jordan, KSA, Europe interfaces, and expansion regions. The role ensures alignment between operations, certification standards, customer sustainability requirements, and regulatory frameworks across the renewable feedstocks value chain, while building the governance backbone that enables global scaling and safeguards certification continuity, traceability integrity, compliance, and customer trust. It also ensures consistent global standards while adapting to local regulatory requirements. The role owns the group sustainability governance framework, setting global standards for certification, traceability, supplier compliance, and sustainability KPI reporting, and embedding them into operational SOPs and market launches. It ensures certification and chain of custody integrity across ISCC and equivalent systems, managing audits, renewals, corrective actions, and documentation standards across markets. It drives regulatory readiness for new market entries and expansions, ensuring compliance with environmental, waste, export, and renewable feedstock regulations and supporting due diligence for partnerships and acquisitions. It also translates customer sustainability requirements from SAF, HVO, biodiesel, and renewable diesel buyers into internal controls, ensuring audit readiness and strong assurance frameworks. Finally, it builds organizational capability by establishing sustainability structures across countries, developing local focal points, driving training, strengthening internal audit capacity, and managing escalation governance for sustainability risks.
10–12+ years of experience in sustainability governance, certification, and compliance leadership Strong expertise in ISCC, chain of custody systems, mass balance, and waste/residue regulations Proven experience working across multi-country or multi-jurisdiction operations Background in renewable feedstocks, biofuels, waste management, chemicals, or circular economy sectors Demonstrated ability to build and scale governance and compliance frameworks Strong cross-functional experience working with operations, legal, commercial, and country leadership teams Experience managing external stakeholders including auditors, certification bodies, customers, and regulators
