Job description

We are seeking a Senior Manager – Structural & Civil (Stations) to support the design and delivery of major rail infrastructure within Qiddiya. This role is responsible for leading the structural and civil design scope across large, complex train and metro stations, ensuring alignment with architectural vision while maintaining constructability, resilience, cost, and program requirements. The role spans the full design lifecycle, from pre-concept through detailed design and into delivery, with a strong emphasis on design excellence, customer experience, and integration with the surrounding landscape. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage structural and civil design activities across all project stages Ensure alignment with project vision, Qiddiya standards, regulatory requirements, and design excellence benchmarks Oversee structural design elements including complex roofs, resilience (blast, seismic), durability, and civil interfaces Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants to ensure integrated delivery Develop and review design briefs, specifications, and contract documentation Manage design consultants to deliver outputs in line with program timelines and quality expectations Review drawings, digital models, and technical submissions, ensuring accuracy and completeness Lead design reviews and ensure timely stakeholder input and approvals Manage design changes and technical instructions within the discipline Liaise with program, construction, and delivery teams to align design with cost, schedule, and buildability Support sustainability and health & safety integration within the design Ensure materials and systems meet performance, durability, and project intent Prepare and present design progress reports to senior stakeholders Support handover documentation including as-built drawings and O&M manuals

Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering Minimum 10 years of experience in design management within large infrastructure projects Proven experience in complex train stations, metro systems, or similar large transport hubs (essential) Strong expertise in structural systems, including large-span structures and complex roofs Experience with high-speed rail projects is advantageous Strong understanding of design processes from concept through delivery Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and digital models Solid knowledge of codes, regulations, and sustainability practices Experience managing consultants and multidisciplinary teams Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
