Position Overview: BestEx Research Group, a prominent leader in the algo execution space and offers its cloud-based algorithmic execution platform as Software as a Service (SaaS) to its clients. Company is seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Chartered Accountant to join global team to support growth of the global finance operations for U.S. parent and its subsidiaries/ branches around the world including India, APAC, UK etc. As the finance leader, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and trade- related transactions. You will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance, streamlining processes, and supporting financial reporting requirements. As our local team expands, you will also take on leadership responsibilities—managing branch operations and mentoring a growing group of finance professionals. Finance Operations Management: ● Oversee and manage all day-to-day operations of the finance function within the Bengaluru branch, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in all financial workflows. ● Supervise and mentor the local finance team, providing guidance, support, and professional development in alignment with company-wide financial goals and standards. ● Develop and implement finance-specific operational strategies to enhance productivity, streamline processes, and support global reporting requirements. ● Monitor performance against key financial and operational metrics, ensuring the team consistently meets internal deadlines and service level expectations. 2. Financial Reporting & Analysis: ● Assist in preparing comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review. ● Generate detailed reports on trade activity, including profit/loss statements, fee breakdowns, and commission structures. ● Analyze financial trends, providing insights to help the team assess operational efficiency and profitability. 3. Audit & Compliance Support: ● Support internal and external audit processes by providing accurate documentation and ensuring all financial records are compliant. ● Help maintain adherence to tax regulations and accounting standards to ensure smooth and efficient audit cycles. 4. Transaction Recording & Maintenance: ● Accurately record and track all trade-related transactions, including commissions, clearing fees, execution fees, and other trading expenses. ● Input daily financial data into QuickBooks Enterprise, ensuring proper classification of accounts and financial entries. ● Ensure strict compliance with US GAAP and industry regulations, ensuring accurate financial transactions and reporting. 5. Reconciliation & Account Management: ● Regularly reconcile bank and brokerage accounts, verifying consistency with trade records and statements from external partners (e.g., clearers, brokers). ● Monitor cash flow related to trading activities, ensuring accurate documentation and timely reconciliation of all transactions. 6 . Accounts Payable & Receivable: ● Process vendor invoices with precision, ensuring they are accurately documented and paid on time. ● Generate and send client invoices for trade-related services and proactively follow up on outstanding balances. ● Maintain aging reports, assist in collections, and engage with clients effectively to resolve any issues related to unpaid invoices. 7. General Financial Support: ● Provide administrative assistance to the finance team by completing ad-hoc tasks such as financial analysis, reporting, and data entry. ● Organize and maintain financial files, ensuring that documents and reports are easily accessible. Skills & Qualifications: ● Proven experience to establish and operate finance operation, with prior experience in the financial services or capital market trading sectors being a strong advantage. ● Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and MS Excel for financial analysis and reporting. ● Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes. ● Familiarity with financial transaction management, especially in trading or brokerage environments, is highly desirable. ● Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. ● Strong communication skills for seamless interaction with both internal team members and external partners. ● Proven experience in managing or overseeing finance function operations, with a focus on team leadership and operational efficiency. ● Experienced Chartered Accountant in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Working Hours & Environment: ● Working Hours: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM, inclusive of a 1-hour break. ● Full-Time position. ● Work Location: Bengaluru ● Compensation: Competitive salary, commensurate with experience Why Join Us?
