Job description

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with 8–10 years of proven experience in planning, execution, and supervision of civil works. The role involves managing construction activities, ensuring quality, safety, timely execution, and coordination with multiple stakeholders across projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Site Management

  • Plan, execute, and monitor civil construction activities including RCC, structural works, finishing, roads, utilities, and allied civil works.
  • Ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, BOQs, and construction schedules.
  • Coordinate daily site activities with contractors, consultants, and internal teams.

Quality Control & Compliance

  • Implement quality control procedures and ensure compliance with relevant IS codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Conduct inspections, material approvals, and testing coordination as per QA/QC plans.
  • Identify quality issues and drive corrective and preventive actions.

Planning & Coordination

  • Prepare work schedules, look-ahead plans, and progress reports.
  • Coordinate with design, procurement, safety, and planning teams for smooth execution.
  • Support billing, measurements, and certification processes.

Safety & EHS Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to safety norms and site EHS guidelines during construction activities.
  • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and audits.
  • Proactively identify site risks and ensure mitigation measures are implemented.

Cost & Resource Management

  • Monitor material consumption, manpower productivity, and equipment utilization.
  • Assist in cost control, variation analysis, and value engineering initiatives.
  • Ensure effective utilization of resources to meet project timelines and budgets.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain daily progress reports, site records, drawings, and as-built documentation.
  • Report progress, challenges, and risks to project management in a timely manner.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • 8–10 years of relevant experience in construction, infrastructure, real estate, industrial, or EPC projects.
  • Experience in handling site execution independently is preferred.
  • Exposure to large-scale or multi-disciplinary projects will be an added advantage.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of civil construction practices and methodologies
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Office
  • Good contractor coordination and site management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Effective communication and team collaboration skills
