Event Security Manager

CES Security, Inc. is a regional contract security guard service provider. With over 40 years of experience, CES Security provides quality security guard services to businesses throughout the MD, DC & VA region. We are locally owned & provide a team of professional managers & supervisors available 24 hours every day of the year.

We specialize in providing unarmed security officers to the convention and trade show industry. Our managers in this area of our business have the unique responsibility of providing onsite direct customer service and management for the duration of an event. These events vary in size and scope of work. For some events we may provide one or two officers on a shift but on other events we may have in excess of 50-60 officers per shift. The Event Manager would have to be mobile to work both Baltimore/ DMV area.

Event Manager hours and responsibilities are very demanding and occur in a very fast paced environment. Many officers are new with little experience, so there is the need to train them, instruct them continuously on post assignments as they may change, and generally oversee their performance.

Additionally our Event Managers are the direct contact with our client and their vendors and must respond to any situation that may arise. We look for individuals who have a strong work ethic, can command the respect of the staff while maintaining an environment in which they want to work. In other words, they should maintain a mutually beneficial work environment. Candidates should have a history of supervising hourly workers.

Equally important to a candidate's success is their flexibility in both time and attitude. The hours are very demanding and unconventional and may require (during peak times) extended periods of time with long hours and few days off. We require that our Event Managers travel between the cities of Baltimore and Washington as they must be available to work in both cities on a regular basis.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
