Job description

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Case Manager – Women’s Centre to support women and children experiencing family and domestic violence, homelessness and crisis situations.

Reporting to the Women’s Centre Coordinator, this role delivers trauma‑informed, strengths‑based case management services to customers residing at the Stirling Women’s Centre and within the community. You will work closely with customers to enhance safety, wellbeing and self‑reliance, while contributing to the day‑to‑day operations of the Centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake, screening, risk and needs assessments and safety planning
  • Deliver trauma‑informed, strengths‑based case management and system advocacy
  • Support women and children to develop goals that enhance safety, wellbeing and independence
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records and enter data into SHIP
  • Liaise with government departments, community agencies and service providers
  • Conduct safety audits for outreach customers, including recommendations for security upgrades
  • Support daily operations of the Women’s Centre, including house rules, security and hygiene standards
  • Assist with ordering and management of food, equipment and supplies

What You’ll Bring

  • Tertiary qualification in social work, social sciences, community services or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience delivering trauma‑informed, complex case management support
  • Well‑developed skills in risk assessment, safety planning and crisis support
  • Strong understanding of family and domestic violence, homelessness and intersectional disadvantage
  • High‑level interpersonal, communication, negotiation and advocacy skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a community services or women’s support environment
  • Experience using tools such as Outcomes Star

Essential Requirements

  • Current Provide First Aid Certificate
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • National Police Clearance (issued within the last 3 months)
  • Current Driver’s Licence
