What You’ll Be Doing
- Respond to written and verbal customer enquiries
- Process applications and apply public health conditions
- Undertake inspections and technical assessments
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and activities
- Collect evidence, prepare reports, and attend court as required
- Monitor and sample in line with business unit programs
- Prepare reports and provide advice to agencies
- Support training for students and technical officers
Position Description - Environmental Health Officer
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for an Environmental Health Officer to join us on a permanent basis with a passion for community wellbeing. You’ll ideally bring:
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Health (required)
- High-level knowledge of Environmental Health principles
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong decision-making and judgement
- Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence
- Authorised person under Environmental Protection Act (desirable)
- Local Government experience (desirable)
- Well-developed conflict resolution skills (desirable)
