Job description

We are seeking an exceptional leader—someone who has operated within global financial institutions at the highest levels of technology and business—and is now ready to shape the next wave of BFSI transformation at a global scale.

As the “Thinker” within our leadership triad, you are the intellectual anchor of the BFSI Business Unit. This is not a traditional consulting role; it is an influence role. You engage as a peer to Global CTOs and senior executives of systemically important financial institutions, shaping perspectives, influencing decisions, and defining industry narratives.

You will author the Points of View (PoVs) that guide how clients think about their most critical challenges, ensuring our solutions remain authentic, differentiated, and commercially relevant.

  • BFSI Domain Authority: Serve as the definitive subject matter expert across banking, capital markets, insurance, payments, and wealth management—acting as the trusted voice of the BU.
  • Thought Leadership & PoVs: Co-create and articulate differentiated BFSI Points of View on key themes such as core modernization, AI-driven underwriting, real-time payments, open banking, ESG risk, and embedded finance.
  • Executive Advisory: Lead high-impact client engagements at the CTO, CIO, CDO, and Chief Risk Officer level, advising on technology strategy, architecture, and transformation roadmaps.
  • Strategic Deal Influence: Act as the intellectual partner to the “Hustler” (Sales), shaping pursuit strategies, solution positioning, and executive narratives for complex deals.
  • Solution Strategy: Drive BFSI solution direction in collaboration with practice and delivery leaders, ensuring alignment with real client challenges and market demand.
  • Industry Representation: Serve as a keynote speaker, panelist, and thought leader at leading forums such as Sibos, Money20/20, and the FT Banking Summit.
  • Ecosystem Development: Build and engage an external advisory network of BFSI executives and academic leaders to continuously refine strategy and perspectives.
  • Capability Building: Mentor and elevate domain expertise across global client-facing teams.
  • Market Opportunity Identification: Identify emerging trends and whitespace opportunities, translating them into actionable pipeline in partnership with sales leadership.
  • 20+ years of deep BFSI experience, ideally as a former CTO, CIO, Chief Architect, or senior technology leader within a top-tier global financial institution—or as a senior banker with direct technology ownership.
  • Strong understanding of modern BFSI technology architectures, including core banking platforms (e.g., Temenos, Finastra, FIS), payments infrastructure (ISO 20022, SWIFT, real-time rails), risk and compliance systems, and data & AI ecosystems.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling business value narratives for executive audiences, including CFOs and Board-level stakeholders.
  • First-hand experience leading or governing large-scale, enterprise-wide technology transformation programs within global financial institutions.
  • Deep knowledge of the regulatory landscape—including Basel IV, DORA, MiFID II, GDPR, SR 11-7, and BCBS 239—and their implications for technology, risk, and operations.
  • Recognized industry presence as a published author, keynote speaker, or contributor to leading bodies such as SWIFT, the Institute of International Finance (IIF), or the World Economic Forum (Financial Services).
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Generous Work-Life Balance: Flexible working hours and option to work from home.
  • Health & Wellbeing: Ergonomic workstations, subsidies for health services, sponsored sports events, etc.
  • Company Events & Community: Regular after-work sessions, shared breakfasts/lunches, summer and Christmas parties, team events, and more.
  • Open, Agile Culture: Flat hierarchies, high level of personal responsibility, international and diverse teams, friendly and supportive team spirit.
  • Training & Personal Development: Focus on promoting both technical and personal growth to ensure employees stay up to date.
  • Modern Tools & Workspace Design: Modern office, dual monitors, ergonomic equipment, and excellent on-site infrastructure.
