Weekend PBX Operator

Weekend PBX Operator – Healthcare Setting
Schedule: Saturday & Sunday | 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

This is a weekend‑only position, working every Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The PBX Operator plays a vital role in supporting hospital operations by managing the facility’s telephone and communication systems. This position serves as a first point of contact for patients, visitors, physicians, and staff, ensuring calls are handled promptly, accurately, and with compassion.

Key responsibilities include answering and routing incoming, outgoing, and internal calls; operating the switchboard; taking and delivering messages; providing general information; and responding appropriately to emergency communications. The PBX Operator must remain calm, professional, and attentive while working in a fast‑paced, patient‑focused healthcare environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous customer service or healthcare experience preferred
