What You Will Contribute:
This position is responsible for providing to customers field technical support for Badger Meter’s product portfolio and ensuring issues get resolved to the satisfaction of the customer. You will provide necessary technical training and assistance, system pre-installation planning with the customer, and other special sales support projects and activities as required.
Job Duties:
Provide field technical support for customersand calibration services
Perform field training for customers either onsite or using internet based methods
Perform internal training and testing when new products or significant changes occur in existing products
Analysis of measurement data
Software supported documentation and tracking of support cases & projects
Provide feedback to corporate training group on training materials such as guides and quick reference cards and to Marketing and Technical Support for purposes of resolving customer issues
Remain proficient and up–to-date in meter and system technology including software, both with Badger Meter products, and competitive product offerings
Respond to customer requests and questions in a timely manner, communicating effectively to both internal and external customers
Handling of repairs andglobal RMA process
Ability to assembly custom Blue Edge solutions
Education and Experience:
Completed technical education or Bacherlor’s degree in mechatronics, chemistry, environmental engineering or water management
First professional experience including customer contact especially for service & commissioning
Qualifications:
Fluent in English
Preferably experience and knowledge in measurement, automation & process control
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office and CRM software
High customer orientation & social competence
Strong communication skills
Transparent, structured and pro-active way of working incl. documentation
Interdisciplinary thinking, problem solving skills and creativity
