Job Summary:
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead complex client engagements, serving as the primary point of contact for CFOs, Controllers, and executive stakeholders
- Enter ambiguous or high-pressure finance environments to assess challenges across people, processes, data, and systems
- Provide strategic financial leadership, including serving in interim roles such as Head of Finance or Controller when needed
- Diagnose root-cause issues and translate them into clear, pragmatic, and executable solutions
- Oversee and deliver engagements across key Office of the CFO service areas, including:
- Transaction readiness and execution support (buy-side and sell-side)
- Finance advisory and transformation (process redesign, standardization, optimization)
- Financial reporting improvements (management, external, and board-level)
- Advise CFOs and executive teams on board and audit committee communications, financial reporting readiness, and audit processes
- Own engagement delivery, including scope, timelines, economics, and client satisfaction
- Lead and mentor Managers, Senior Associates, and Associates, fostering team development and performance
- Build and maintain long-term, trust-based client relationships, identifying opportunities for expansion
- Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal development, solution design, and thought leadership
- Play an active role in shaping and scaling the CFO Advisory practice
Education & Experience:
- 8-10 years of experience in CFO Advisory, Transaction Advisory, Management Consulting, Finance Transformation, FP&A leadership, or Public Accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required
- CPA or Master’s degree (MBA, MAcc, or MS in Finance) required
- Strong foundation in accounting, finance operations, and financial reporting
- Demonstrated experience advising CFOs and executive stakeholders on complex finance initiatives
- Proven ability to lead large, multi-workstream client engagements and manage engagement economics
- Experience developing and mentoring team members at multiple levels
- Track record of contributing to client growth, business development, or practice building
