Ensures safety measures are in place for pediatric and geriatric patients, such as covering electrical outlets and maintaining clear pathways. Other duties as assigned. Keeps current on new developments in boilers and compressor systems, attending departmental in-services, education programs, seminars, and meetings for updates in chemical usage and equipment. Demonstrates competency in all procedures within the scope of practice, maintaining knowledge of growth and development to understand the range of treatment needed by patients. Responds promptly to all calls for emergency repairs and handles any duty assignments arising in emergency situations. Repairs and maintains equipment in skilled trade areas, diagnosing and repairing system malfunctions on boilers and compressor systems. Schedules and performs preventative maintenance, including inspecting, calibrating, adjusting, lubricating, repairing, and replacing components. Performs and documents scheduled inspections and safety tests, ensuring code compliance. Conducts major overhauls and rebuilds, maintaining equipment at optimum efficiency using accepted procedures. Monitors work performed by outside contractors to ensure requirements are met and results are documented properly. Maintains complete and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with healthcare, federal, state, and local regulations and standards. Reports hazardous situations, needed repairs, and relevant issues to appropriate personnel and the Supervisor of Engineering in a timely and accurate manner.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Able to read blueprints
• Must maintain current knowledge base of equipment and demonstrates thorough understanding of boiler systems
• Able to communicate in English
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
Education:
• High School Grad or Equiv or 5+ years experience required [Required]
Work Experience:
• 3+ general experience [Required]

Pay Range:
