Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE

A1 is building a proactive AI chat app for everyday users—bringing intelligence into conversations, errands, organization, and workflows. Unlike traditional chat-based tools, we focus on high reliability in long-running workflows, persistent context, and real-world task execution.

This is a hands-on, execution-driven role working directly with the CEO and early leadership team. You will keep critical workstreams moving across hiring, office setup, and early operations. The scope is intentionally broad. You will operate across functions—setting up the first office, coordinating hiring, building local networks, and ensuring execution stays on track.

This is not a support role. Expect to take ownership, solve problems independently, and drive outcomes in an unstructured environment.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Work directly with the CEO to drive US market entry - from early strategy to hands-on execution
  • Build and execute initial hiring plans - source, engage, and close high-caliber talent
  • Support fundraising efforts - prepare materials, coordinate investor conversations, and follow through
  • Help establish A1’s presence in the US - including office setup, vendors, and operating structure
  • Drive external positioning - support PR, partnerships, and key relationships
  • Turn ambiguous ideas into clear plans, and ensure they get executed
  • Act as a central operator across teams - tracking priorities, resolving bottlenecks, and pushing progress
  • Handle high-urgency, unstructured problems with speed and sound judgment

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Background in consulting (MBB), top-tier VC, startups, or high-performance operating roles
  • Strong generalist - able to switch between strategy, hiring, operations, and execution
  • High agency - does not wait for instructions, figures things out and moves
  • Strong judgment - able to prioritize what matters and make decisions with incomplete information
  • Clear and concise communication - comfortable working with senior stakeholders and external partners
  • High reliability - consistently follows through and delivers
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-ambiguity environment

HOW WE WORK

The best products today in the world were built by small, world class teams. We are a high talent density and hands-on team. We make decisions collectively, move at rapid speed, striking a balance between shipping high quality work and learning. Joining our team requires the ability to bring structure, exercise judgment, and execute independently. Our goal is to put in hands of our users a truly magical product

INTERVIEW PROCESS

If there appears to be a fit, we'll reach to schedule 3, but no more than 4 interviews.

Applications are evaluated by our founding team members. Interviews will be conducted via virtual meetings and/or onsite.

We value transparency and efficiency, so expect a prompt decision. If you've demonstrated the exceptional skills and mindset we're looking for, we'll extend an offer to join us. This isn't just a job offer; it's an invitation to be part of a team that's bringing AI to have practical benefits to billions globally.
