Role Summary Based in Normal, IL, this role processes body structure sheet metal components post-production to meet Rivian service parts requirements, ensuring safe, high-quality, and timely delivery of service parts through hands-on execution and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities Responsible for ensuring body structure service parts for Rivian vehicles are accurately executed postproduction. This role will require high levels of initiative, independent judgement and cross-team collaboration. Must be able to complete projects in a compressed timeline. Follow BOMs, CAD, and drawings for body service parts within PLM systems to support service part manufacturing requirements. Scan, track, and sort service parts for inbound and outbound operations. Support Rivian World Class Manufacturing programs, processes, and safety standards. Safely and effectively use lift devices and assembly tools as part of daily operations. Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee morale. Contribute to structured problem solving and root-cause analysis for quality issues. Ensure strict safety compliance and adherence to all rules and procedures. Ensure service part volume targets are achieved. Ensure quality and operational systems are implemented and functioning to defined standards. Meet regularly with team leads to give and receive performance feedback and plan work in line with team objectives. Actively promote teamwork and collaborative problem solving in a proactive work environment. Drive a culture of Prediction, Prevention, and Protection in everything we do. Qualifications Minimum 2-4 years of sheet metal cutting, welding, and grinding experience. Ability to use resistance spot weld equipment and stud welding equipment. Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools (e.g., soldering equipment, cutting torch, blocks, hammers, wrenches, sander, etc.). Ability to fixture and rework large sheet metal assemblies. Ability to stand for 8–12 hours per day. Ability to walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required by the work. Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds. Ability to perform all duties in a working environment that may contain dust, high noise levels, and hot or cold weather conditions. Pay Disclosure The salary range for this role is $30.39 to 34.78 per hour for Normal, Illinois based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs. The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus.
