Job Description:

A private physician group specializing in Hematology and Oncology Hematology Oncology Associates of the Treasure Coast (HOATC) is seeking a PER DIEM experienced Compounding Infusion Pharmacy Technician. HOATC is a private physician group specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of all types of blood diseases and cancer. We provide individualized, state-of-the-art care which focuses on the global spectrum of therapy and emphasizes the importance of quality-of-life concerns. Candidates must possess a valid FL State License and have experience mixing IV and Chemotherapy drugs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for cleaning and maintaining Sterile Compounding room and QA as per USP 800 guidelines for a state law as directed by supervisor.
  • Works under direct supervision of the pharmacy supervisor, fills prescriptions and prepares Sterile Compounding according to Hematology Oncology Associates standards of quality, customer service, productivity guidelines and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
  • Responsible for compounding Sterile Compounding orders in a Class 100 clean room as directed by Physicians and Pharmacy Supervisor.
  • Responsible for maintaining, cleaning and accountability of pumps.
  • Orders, receives, and maintains inventory of drugs and chemicals, and ensures their security.
  • Responsible for filing, answering phones, and stocking areas in the IV department as appropriate and as directed by supervisor.
  • Maintains a clean/safe work environment, checking equipment for calibration, safety, and cleanliness.
  • Responsible for communicating with Supervisor, regarding USP 800 and Operations.
