Embark on a journey where your talents align with purpose, and excellence is more than a goal; it's a way of life. At Mendoza, you'll join a community dedicated to building meaningful careers and cultivating a culture where each day brings new opportunities to Grow the Good in Business.

As part of our team, you’ll have the unique opportunity to represent our diverse portfolio of Specialized Master’s Programs. You'll collaborate with a passionate group of admissions professionals, all committed to recruiting and inspiring the next generation of business leaders.

Discover a world of opportunity at the University of Notre Dame. Your next chapter starts here.

Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Admissions for Specialized Master’s Programs, the Assistant Director plays a key role in recruiting and enrolling prospective students for Mendoza’s Graduate Business Programs. This is an on-campus, student-facing position that requires frequent engagement with prospective and current students, as well as alumni, to support both recruitment and yield efforts. Responsibilities include proactive outreach through phone calls and email campaigns, along with participation in approximately 30–50 recruitment events annually (virtual and on-campus).

In this role, you will interview candidates, evaluate applications across the full portfolio of Mendoza’s graduate business programs, and recommend admission and fellowship decisions to senior leadership and academic stakeholders. During the admissions cycle, you will engage with approximately 50–70 students each week through application reviews, interviews, and admissions consultations. You will also serve as a member of the admissions committee for all Specialized Master’s programs.

The ideal candidate is an engaging communicator with a strong ability to build relationships and influence prospective students. Success in this role requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively, serving as a key liaison between prospective students and the Mendoza College of Business.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

The Assistant Director will drive enrollment for Mendoza Graduate Business Programs through targeted recruitment strategies, including outreach via phone and email, event representation, and engagement with students and alumni.

  • Evaluate applications for the Specialized Master's Portfolio, assessing test scores, experience, academics, and interviews. Recommend admissions and fellowship decisions to the Director, participate in the Admissions Committee, and develop strategies to optimize yield.
  • Collaborate with the Brand Management team and Sr. Associate Director of Graduate Admissions to create email marketing campaigns that engage prospective students, highlight program strengths, and drive application submissions. Additionally, you will liaise with Admissions Operations teams as needed.
  • Support the MBA recruitment team by conducting candidate interviews, reviewing applications, attending events, and participating in recruitment travel as needed.
  • Collaborate with Mendoza teams to manage student services and career services, ensuring smooth cohort transitions and successful Orientation. Create and analyze weekly enrollment reports and participate in performance management through Endeavor.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (4 years)
  • Experience: 3 to 4 years
  • Skills Required: Strong ability to create and deliver compelling presentations, engage in public speaking, and quickly build rapport and establish trust. Skilled in data analysis and insight generation, with a proactive and persistent approach. Admissions-related experience is preferred.

Compensation: Starting at $55,000, commensurate with experience.

This position will be accepting applications until May 18, 2026.
