Position Overview

The Manager, Fundraising & Donor Engagement, is responsible for leading the Popeyes Foundation's fundraising strategy and donor engagement efforts to grow philanthropic revenue and deepen stakeholder participation. As the Foundation's primary fundraising leader, this role develops and executes annual fundraising campaigns, partners with Executive Director to cultivate donor and franchisee relationships, identifies new fundraising opportunities, and drives donor stewardship initiatives that support the Foundation's mission.

In addition to fundraising leadership, the Manager oversees key Foundation fundraising programs, supports the Foundation teams volunteer engagement activities, and governance support to ensure effective execution of fundraising initiatives. This role serves as a strategic partner to the Executive Director and is responsible for translating fundraising goals into measurable results while maintaining strong operational excellence.

Fundraising & Donor Engagement (85%)

  • Lead the development and execution of the Foundation's annual fundraising strategy and revenue goals.
  • Drive all fundraising initiatives including in-restaurant campaigns, franchisee giving programs, employee giving opportunities, special events, sponsorships, and donor appeals.
  • Develop and implement donor acquisition, cultivation, stewardship, and retention strategies to increase donor participation and long-term engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with franchisees, restaurant operators, suppliers, corporate partners, donors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities, partnerships, sponsorships, and revenue streams to support Foundation growth.
  • Analyze fundraising performance and donor trends to develop actionable recommendations that improve results and donor engagement.
  • Oversee donor database management and ensure data integrity within Raiser's Edge.
  • Manage donation processing, acknowledgments, donor recognition programs, and stewardship communications.
  • Develop fundraising reports, dashboards, and presentations for Foundation leadership and Board members.
  • Lead Foundation fundraising efforts associated with Convention and other major events, including sponsorship solicitation, silent auction strategy, donation procurement, onsite fundraising activations, and fulfillment activities.
  • Manage Foundation merchandise inventory and fundraising-related materials.
  • Establish annual fundraising KPIs and monitor progress against goals.

Communications & Community Engagement (15%)

  • Support Foundation communications that advance fundraising and donor stewardship.

  • Support quarterly Board meeting logistics, materials, and reporting
  • In partnership with Foundation Program & Communications Manager, act as liaison for local Miami community engagement activities and relationship-building efforts that support the Foundation's mission.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in fundraising, philanthropy, nonprofit management, CSR, corporate giving, or related functions.
  • Demonstrated success managing fundraising campaigns, employee giving programs, donor engagement programs, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with experience translating data into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong relationship-building, influencing, and collaboration skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently while contributing to a highly collaborative team environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge, Submittable, Webflow, and Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred).
  • Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising best practices and donor stewardship growth opportunities.
  • Experience preparing executive-level reports, board materials, and impact assessments.
  • Familiarity with franchise, retail, hospitality, or corporate foundation environments preferred.
