Your Opportunity, Your Team
As a General Ledger Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting QVC Group and ensuring strong financial accounting, reporting and control across the business. You will lead month‑end close, statutory and SEC reporting, and drive improvements to accounting processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency and governance. You will act as a trusted finance partner across the organization, working closely with the Accounting Manager and wider global teams.
Where You’ll Work
This role is hybrid and will require you to be onsite at our Kraków between 3-5 times per month. Onsite days are predetermined and standard across the company.
What You’ll Do
Perform general ledger accounting activities including journal postings, period‑end closing tasks, and maintenance of balance sheet and P&L accounts
Prepare and post accruals, prepaids and other routine month‑end adjustments
Manage daily bank activities including posting incoming/outgoing payments, preparing bank account reporting and performing daily reconciliations between bank statements and SAP accounts
Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and US GAAP requirements (German GAAP knowledge is a plus)
Support month‑end and quarter‑end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of assigned tasks
Execute cost center rebookings, inter‑company transfers and corrections of mispostings
Maintain high‑quality reconciliations and documentation in line with internal control standards
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies, clear open items and improve accounting accuracy
Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit queries
What You’ll Bring
Experience in general ledger accounting within a corporate or shared services environment
SAP experience (must‑have; ECC or S/4HANA)
Strong working knowledge of US GAAP (required); German GAAP is an advantage
Experience with month‑end close activities, reconciliations and accounting controls
Familiarity with multi‑entity or multi‑currency environments is beneficial
US GAAP (required), German GAAP (plus)
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities and deliver accurate results under deadlines
Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams
No formal certification (ACCA, CPA, ACA) required, though it is considered a plus
Very good English skills
