Job Summary:
We’re seeking an experienced and dependable Lead Duct Install Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll lead residential and light commercial duct installation projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship, energy efficiency, and on-time completion. You’ll set the standard in the field while supporting and guiding junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead installation of HVAC duct systems, including sheet metal, flex, and fiberglass duct
- Read plans and execute installs according to specifications, codes, and company standards
- Measure, cut, and install insulation materials (fiberglass, foam, etc.)
- Seal duct systems to ensure proper airflow and energy efficiency
- Install dampers, vents, registers, and related components
- Coordinate with HVAC installers and project managers to keep jobs on schedule
- Review daily work orders and ensure trucks are stocked with tools and materials
- Train and support apprentices and junior installers on best practices
- Maintain accurate job records and uphold clean, organized job sites
- Follow and enforce all safety standards
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience installing residential HVAC duct systems
- Proven ability to lead jobs and work independently in the field
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to read plans and follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail, accountability, and teamwork
- Comfortable working with tools, at heights, and in confined spaces
- Positive attitude and reliability

Work Environment:
Works in field environments across residential job sites, climbing ladders and navigating uneven surfaces. Regularly works in confined spaces and moves materials up to 50 pounds. Operates hand and power tools and vehicles. Must be able to see, hear, and exchange accurate information with customers and team members. Regular exposure to outdoor weather, noise, and dust.
