Job description
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and completed products, including electronic units, electro-mechanical assemblies, mechanical components, and structural elements
- Identify defects such as structural flaws, internal issues, or missing welds using established inspection methods and specifications
- Use measuring tools and equipment (e.g., dial indicators, micrometers, scales, fixtures) to verify product compliance
- Accept or reject parts, assemblies, or systems based on quality standards
- Work from blueprints, diagrams, customer specifications, inspection instructions, and checklists
- Apply statistical process control and other quality procedures to monitor and verify product quality
- Perform line clearances after each production lot to ensure removal of previous materials
- Inspect parts and assemblies using drawings (including CATIA), process specifications, and test procedures
- Conduct dimensional inspections to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Document and report non-conforming materials, parts, assemblies, or processes according to procedures
- Inspect vendor, subcontractor, and in-house components and assemblies
- Follow a structured and pre-determined sequence of work
- Prepare and maintain accurate quality and inspection records
- Support production flow by assisting and cross-training in related roles, including assembly functions
- Complete additional duties as assigned, with training and certification provided when required
- Must be open to working any shift
- Proficient in the use of measurement tools and inspection equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience reviewing and working with re-drawings/revisions
- Knowledge and experience with First Article Inspection (FAI)
