Overview The Technical Product Owner is responsible for driving the technical vision, feature definition, and backlog prioritization for the product. This role bridges product strategy with execution, ensuring high-quality outcomes through clear technical requirements and active involvement in validation and testing. This position involves managing the product lifecycle from concept to delivery - defining user stories, establishing acceptance criteria, participating in testing, and working closely with engineering teams to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions aligned with customer needs and business priorities. As part of the product team, the Technical Product Owner collaborates closely with the Product Manager to refine the roadmap and translate strategic priorities into actionable development work. The PO is responsible for breaking down features into user stories, specifying clear technical requirements, and maintaining the product backlog. Operating within agile squads, the PO works closely with the development team and Scrum Master to ensure proper implementation and iteration throughout the development lifecycle. This role specifically supports our Data Connect product - a solution that helps AEC organizations synchronize project and financial data seamlessly across disconnected business systems. By integrating systems, DataConnect improves data reliability and workflow efficiency, unlocking better coordination between field operations, back-office tools, and cloud platforms. DataConnect consists of three main modules: ERP SYNC: Synchronizing project financial data between Autodesk Build, Autodesk Cost Management, and Accounting/ERP systems like CMIC, Viewpoint Vista, SAGE 100, Foundation, Viewpoint Spectrum, Quickbooks, and SAGE 300. FILE SYNC: Synchronizing project files between external cloud storage systems and internal systems for secure backup and protection (Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Procore, SharePoint, OneDrive, Windows, etc.). INTEGRATION SERVICES: Providing custom digital transformation services and system migration support. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of cloud-based solutions and automation workflows (centered around Microsoft Azure and Power Automate) and can drive product evolution aligned with customer and market demands. Key Responsibilities Technical Own and maintain the product backlog and technical roadmap for DataConnect, focusing on an in-house cloud platform leveraging Microsoft Azure and Power Automate to integrate construction ERP systems. Lead technical discussions and ensure development solutions align with requirements and best practices. Write detailed user stories, epics, and technical acceptance criteria based on product and customer requirements. Guide and review the development. Define scripts for integrations with major ERP systems using Power Automate. Maintain high standards of quality assurance through active participation in feature validation, debugging, and testing activities. Collaborate with local technical experts to understand localization requirements and country-specific standards. Host and participate in technical product roadmap meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Engage with pilot customers globally, maintaining regular communication with technical stakeholders. Deliver group and 1-1 discovery sessions for internal teams on product functionalities and updates. Ensure that project deliverables align with broader organizational and R&D division goals. Marketing and Technical Materials Create core technical materials such as presentations, technical specification sheets, and whitepapers. Build technical training documentation, detailed walkthroughs, and tutorial guides. Success Indicators / KPIs Adherence to project milestones and global delivery timelines. Recognition as a product "Champion" within and outside the company. Strong relationships established with technical stakeholders. Clear and high-quality documentation aligned with end-user needs. Responsibilities What You Must Have Done Already 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Owner or Product Owner for any cloud-based software solutions or automation platforms (such as Microsoft Azure and Power Automate) or ERP system. Proven experience in defining and delivering cloud products and solutions, especially those integrating ERP systems. Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, APIs, and automation workflows, particularly within the Microsoft ecosystem. Familiarity with construction technologies like Autodesk Construction Cloud and their integration with business systems. What Is Nice to Have Comprehensive knowledge of ERP systems used in the construction industry. Knowledge of the Autodesk ecosystem and related workflows. Demonstrated success working on or delivering projects similar in scope to Data Connect. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Strong technical background with a focus on cloud-based platforms and system integrations. Certification in Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, or similar cloud technologies (preferred). Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience working as a Product Owner within Agile teams. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills to interact effectively with cross-functional technical teams and business stakeholders. Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus. Ability to work in an international environment across different time zones.
