Registered Nurse ASC - South Asheville Medical Plaza

We’re seeking a skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center team. In this role, you’ll primarily support one clinical area while also cross-training across the center—giving you the opportunity to expand your skills and play a vital role in seamless, high-quality surgical care. What You’ll Do: Provide direct patient care within your primary nursing area, ensuring safety, comfort, and positive outcomes Collaborate with a close-knit surgical team to support efficient, high-quality procedures Assist with room turnover and daily ASC operations to keep cases running smoothly and on schedule Conduct pre-admission telephone assessments, helping patients feel informed, prepared, and at ease before their procedure Adapt to multiple clinical areas through cross-training, enhancing both your versatility and impact What We're Looking For Education : 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Experience : One year of ASC, PACU or operating room experience, preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. ACLS and PALS, preffered. Additional Skills (required): Must have a thorough understanding of role of RN and the ability to carry out the functions as stated in the appropriate relevant state nurse practice act. Ability to set priorities and organize workload of unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient’s age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Proficient in telephone screening and interviewing skills.
