In this essential position, you’ll ensure that medical instruments and equipment are cleaned, prepared, and sterilized to the highest standards—supporting caregivers and improving outcomes across our community. What You'll Do Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment Prepare and package instrument trays to meet the needs of surgical teams and patient care units Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety standards Collaborate closely with clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of supplies Monitor and document sterilization processes to ensure compliance and quality What We're Looking For Education : High School Diploma or GED, required. Experience : One year of experience in a hospital Sterile Reprocessing Department, preferred. Licensure/Certification: Sterile processing tech certification, required. Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competencytesting. Demonstrates knowledge of instrumentation and sterile/aseptic technique. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions to assemble instrument sets and trays.
