Job Duties As a family-owned, omni-channel retailer Blain’s Farm and Fleet has a need for various forms of photography including branded lifestyle, product/service promotion, internal cultural/event photography, as well as corporate and editorial portraiture. Pre-Production: Consistently maintain all camera equipment, accessories, lighting equipment, and studio appearance. (daily) Effectively prep and plan for shoots, including organizing equipment, charging batteries, preparing shot-lists, etc. (weekly) Demonstrate working knowledge of photo equipment to recommend upgrades/replacements to current photo kit (as needed) Production: Strong working knowledge of camera equipment, lighting equipment/techniques, and product/talent styling in studio, on-location, and event settings to produce creative effects. (daily) Create succinct and compelling content from raw photo footage, generating professional-quality graphics (including AI-altered imagery), mainly relying on their own ability to create content with minimal supervision. (daily) Excellent attention to detail with the ability to understand/follow project parameters and consistently produce desired results (daily) Consistently meet or exceed deadlines while delivering quality photos for various advertising media and/or corporate use (daily) Document corporate-sponsored events & functions in a fast-paced environment, both independently & as a team. (monthly) Post-Production: Consistently organize, name, and backup all photo files from SD card to Canto DAM, external drives, and other storage solutions sponsored by IT. (daily) Proficiency in editing/retouching, prepping, and processing various images/formats in the Adobe Creative Cloud software platform in a Mac-based environment (weekly) Qualifications 1-3 years of professional photography and/or video production experience, ideally in a mix of studio and lifestyle environments Advanced college level coursework in commercial photography, video production, journalism, and/or related certificate program from an accredited technical institute preferred. This role requires: 10% of travel Demonstrated proficiency in photography/videography using a mirrorless or DSLR camera, studio lighting equipment/techniques, professional audio equipment, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and InDesign. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
