Overview About the role: We’re looking for a confident and professional Commercial Broker to join our team in Tauranga. Working collaboratively, you will service a portfolio of commercial and Agriculture clients providing timely and trusted advice. You’ll play a key role in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, internal stakeholders as well as insurers. You will inherit and grow an already established and profitable book of client business while being instrumental in developing Gallagher’s continued growth, reputation and status in the industry and marketplace. How you'll make an impact Responsible for developing and maintaining a clear insight of the client’s business and the day-to-day servicing of new and renewal client business Lead and deliver the end-to-end ongoing client service, adhering to service standards and regulations Prepare and execute client and prospect presentations considering the impact of client profitability Understand the clients’ business and risk management needs and look for solutions to deliver those needs through the provision of ongoing service Generate growth within the existing portfolio and convert new business Develop and execute a strategic business growth plan Present powerful, persuasive presentations that effectively demonstrate our value proposition Proactively cross sell and promote products to clients including premium funding, cyber risk, domestic insurance and life and health Contribute to mid and short-term business strategy and planning to ensure that our targets are in line with current market trends, regulations and operational processes Coach the Broker Support Staff to develop their knowledge and capabilities so that they become able to manage their own client base Skills and Experience: Previous commercial or agriculture insurance broking experience (minimum of 3 years) Strong relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills Proven ability to develop and manage complex client accounts Experience in developing new business opportunities A strong sense of team work and a committed work ethic Demonstrated understanding of NZ insurance policies and regulations Holds or is working towards a Certificate in Financial Services (NZQA Level 5) Benefits: Comprehensive reward and recognition programme Life insurance benefit (T&Cs apply) Discounted personal insurance Yearly wellness contribution & Flu vaccinations We support you to develop your skills with excellent learning and development opportunities within a friendly team environment.
