Job description

We are looking for an experienced capable and motivated Team Leader to join our Tauranga team. As Team Leader, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of the organisation. You will lead growth initiatives, foster strong external relationships, support service expansion, and increase the impact we deliver to clients, whānau, and communities. You’ll act as the link between management and clinical teams, helping to drive performance, maintain compliance, and foster a positive working environment. At the same time, you’ll cultivate a positive, engaged team culture that empowers people to do their best work.

Please note, some travel to Taupō and Rotorua will be required for this role, to provide oversight and support to team members in those areas.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and support a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred services.
  • Drive regional growth by strengthening stakeholder relationships, referral pathways and community connections.
  • Support service expansion by identifying opportunities, improving processes, and contributing to new initiatives.
  • Work closely with operational and clinical leaders to meet performance, quality and compliance expectations.
  • Build a positive team culture with strong communication, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding and professional development.

About you

  • Proven experience leading teams in a health, disability, community, or social service setting.
  • Relevant qualifications, professional registration and valid practicing certificate
  • Clinical background preferred; however, experience and strong familiarity with allied health and related services will also be highly valued.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across the region.
  • Commercial and operational awareness – sales focus and delivering to targets.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Great communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.
