• B.Sc in the following field: Psychology, Special Education, Linguistics, Language and Communication Arts, Language Education
• M.Sc in Speech-Language Pathology with evidence of Clinical Internship or fellowship and Continuing Education and training.
• He or she must understand the behaviorist learning principle.
• He or she must be registered and licensed with the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists Body in Nigeria.
