We are looking for new colleagues who can stimulate each other and grow together. 　 Department Overview The Product Development Division of Rakuten Payment handles everything from planning system services related to payment services to basic and detailed design, coding, testing, and operations. Encouraging the synergy of the Rakuten Group and utilizing the latest technologies, we run a lot of projects annually. Along with the expansion of our services, you will experience planning, building, and operating large-scale systems, and directly hear customer feedback to improve our services.

Position: Why We Hire Due to the expansion of our service scale, we are planning to increase our workforce and strengthen our systems. 　 Position Details We are looking for a Database Administrator You will be responsible for optimizing our database systems, ensuring data integrity, availability, and security. We particularly welcome candidates with extensive experience in MySQL and MariaDB.

Main Responsibilities: - Design and operation of MySQL and MariaDB databases - Management of data replication using Golden Gate - Performance monitoring and tuning - Troubleshooting and resolving database issues - Collaboration with the development and operations team in India - Database management in private and public cloud environments

Mandatory Qualifications: - Practical experience in database management (3+ years) - Knowledge and practical experience with MySQL (MariaDB is also acceptable) - Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting - Communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team 　 Desired Qualifications: - Knowledge and work experience with Oracle GoldenGate (for non-Oracle) - Experience with Google cloud-based databases operation ( CloudSQL, Spanner) - Experience with database automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.) - Experience using database monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana, etc.) - Experience in improving database operations using AI - Leadership experience or leadership skills - Ability to actively involve stakeholders and propose and establish rules - Experience, knowledge, and know-how in the FinTech industry (e.g., FISC) - Proactive and self-driven attitude 　 Others Information: Additional information on Location Shinagawa NBF 　 Additional information on Secondment This position will be employed by Rakuten Group, Inc. and seconded to Rakuten Payment, Inc.
