The Role

As a Teradata Database Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of enterprise database platforms that support critical business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, operate, and support relational and non‑relational databases (Teradata / Vantage) in mission‑critical environments.

• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade database engines, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.

• Monitor database performance, conduct capacity planning, and optimize queries to support business applications.

• Provide production support under strict SLAs, including monitoring, alert analysis, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.

• Manage backup, recovery, security, and access controls, while maintaining technical documentation and operational standards.

Required Skills and Experience

• 4+ years of experience in database administration roles.

• Strong experience in Teradata / Vantage Administration.

• Experience with database installation, configuration, maintenance, patching, and hardening.

• Knowledge of performance tuning, capacity planning, backup, recovery, and high availability solutions.

• Experience supporting production environments under SLAs, including incident management and troubleshooting.

• Understanding database security, user management, roles, and access permissions.

• Intermediate English level (written and verbal).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting large‑scale enterprise or mission‑critical environments.

• Familiarity with operational documentation, standardization, and ITIL‑based processes.

• Exposure to automation, monitoring tools, or cloud‑based database platforms.
