As a Carpenter, you will construct, erect, install and repair building structures, cabinetry, doors and hardware, flooring, ceilings and walls. A caregiver in this position works days from 7:30AM – 4:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Maintain and repair existing structures and fixtures.
Install, maintain and repair casework, cabinets, countertops, floorings, walls, ceiling, masonry, doors and door hardware.
Perform structural remodeling, construction and demolition.
Perform regular inspections and repair of fire and smoke doors.
Work across multiple Cleveland Clinic locations as needed.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Three years of carpentry experience
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints/AutoCAD and use of power tools
Knowledge of Microsoft Software
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Certificate of an approved carpentry apprenticeship program or trade school
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
Ability to be mobile for extended periods of time
Ability to travel throughout the Cleveland Clinic health system
Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
Ability to move/transport items weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)
Ability to move/transport equipment weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)
Ability to move/transport carts weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)
Ability to install, repair and maintain systems, equipment, fixtures and/or structures
Ability to climb ladders
Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
