Hospice Admissions Nurse (RN)

As a Hospice Admissions Nurse-RN (Registered Nurse) utilizes critical thinking skills to facilitate comprehensive nursing assessment, planning and care to maximize the comfort and health of patients and families in accordance with the interdisciplinary plan of care and regulatory requirements. In addition, the Hospice Admission RN is expected to establish hospice plan of care and communicate according to the guidelines below.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved Nursing education program

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Michigan

  • Must have a minimum of one (1) year experience as a professional acute care nurse.

  • Home healthcare/hospice experience preferred.

  • Exhibits strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a special emphasis on grief/loss management.

  • Must have current Driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work site.
