Lead Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer

JOB SUMMARY
The Lead EHS Engineeris responsible forleading the establishment, implementation, and continuous improvement of a safe and compliant work environment across multiple sites. This includes managing EHS regulations, policies, and safetyobjectivesto ensure a healthy and accident-free workplace aligned with both local and global standards.
U.S. Citizenship is required due to customer requirement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safetyand RegulatoryCompliance:
Identifyhazards and recommend corrective or preventative measures to ensure a safe work environment.
Lead initiatives to reduce recordable injuries and improve safety performance bymonitoringsafe systems of work and current safe operating procedures.
Participate in pre-start-up safety reviews and equipment walk-downs toidentifysafety concerns and conduct health and safety audits.
Conduct process HAZOPs and risk assessmentsand ensure that existing risk assessments are regularly updated.
Review and assess plant modifications, providing technical safety input for the design and construction of new facilities, including automation lines and process equipment.
Facilitate change management processes in relation to EHS across facilities.
Perform gap analyses and internal audits based on global EHS policy and international standards (e.g., ISO14001, OSHAS18001, EICC EHS Code Conformance).
Support sites and corporate functions during international standard certification audits, including audits by Jabil registrar or customer standards.
Use enterprise systems toinitiate, track, close, and measure the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions from internal and external audits.
Training & Development:
Create andvalidatetraining curricula in areas of responsibility, ensuring they align with safety policies.
Assess training needs in conjunction with the Training Coordinator, select suitable providers, and deliver training to personnel and contractors as needed.
Ensure thetimelydelivery of mandatory regulatory health and safety training within legaltimeframes.
Ensurea sufficient number ofstaff are trained and hold positions such as first aiders and fire wardens.
Emergency Response & Safety Systems:
Develop andmaintainemergency response plans and ensure that fire protection systems are effective.And coordinate emergencyevacuationsdrills.
Promote safety awareness and behaviors through staff communication sessions and employee engagement forums.
Policy Development & Implementation:
Develop and update the site safety statement and policy in partnership with plant managementand global EHS.
Ensure all employees are periodically communicated on the safety statement and policies.
Provide direction and advice to site management on implementing Health & Safety legislation and best practices to meet companyobjectivesunder the Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and the General Application Regulations 2007.
Leadership & Mentorship:
Lead and coach the EHS team, including facilities staff, to ensure they deliver excellence to both internal and external customers.
Drive continuous improvement efforts through trend reporting, analysis, and cost-conscious management.
Actively promote and increase awareness of safe work practices, both for the company staff and contractors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
ABachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related discipline isrequired.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of relevant Health/Safety experience within manufacturing or a related industry, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
Recent OSHA 30 Certification is preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and third parties.
Proficiencyin MS Office and other relevant software tools.
Desirable Skills:
Experiencemonitoringhazardous substances/waste and stormwaterpermitcompliance.
Strong analytical skills, with experience in risk assessment, processhazardsanalysis, and industrial hygiene.
Proven ability to coach, mentor, and lead teams to deliver EHS excellence.
U.S. Citizenship is required due tocustomer requirement.
Work Environment & Conditions:
This position may involve travel between various sites and manufacturing facilities.
Occasional work in industrial settings and plant environments, including safety-related walk-throughs and audits.
