Job description
This is your opportunity to step into a high-impact State Manager – Allied Health role with Healthcare Australia. In this 100% non-clinical leadership role, you’ll oversee a multi-disciplinary team of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, driving service delivery, workforce performance, and growth across aged care, community, and wellness settings.
You’ll take a holistic view of the division—leading people, strengthening client partnerships, and expanding services, particularly across Home Care and Community. This is a true leadership role where you’ll be off the tools, focusing on mentoring, stakeholder engagement, and business growth.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and managing a high-performing Allied Health team (Physios & OTs)
- Overseeing workforce planning, therapy rostering, and resource allocation
- Driving operational performance, financial outcomes, and service excellence
- Providing clinical mentoring and leadership (non-practicing)
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with aged care and community clients
- Managing stakeholder expectations, including issue resolution and service improvement
- Identifying and driving growth opportunities across Home Care and Community
- Supporting expansion of Wellness Centres and new service offerings
- Monitoring KPIs including fill rates, workforce utilisation, and revenue growth
- Ensuring compliance with clinical, operational, and regulatory standards
Let’s talk about you!
You’re a commercially minded and people-focused leader who understands Allied Health but is ready to step away from clinical work and into a broader leadership role. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy building relationships, and are motivated by growth, performance, and making an impact. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- Tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
- Current AHPRA registration
- Minimum 12 months postgraduate clinical experience
- Proven leadership or senior-level experience
- Strong business development mindset with the ability to grow services and partnerships
- Experience or exposure to aged care, community, or wellness settings
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capability
- A proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach
Bring your passion to HCA and be rewarded with:
- Enjoy flexible hybrid working conditions that empower work-life balance
- Discounts to Health Insurance and Retail & Leisure partner providers
- HCA will continue to grow at exponential levels over the next few years and offers significant career advancement opportunities. This is an opportunity to make your mark within a friendly, supportive, and growing organization
Ready to take the next step in your leadership career and make a meaningful impact in Allied Health? We’d love to hear from you.
Veterans are encouraged to apply. At HCA we are committed to embracing diversity and committed to providing a safe working environment.
