Job Description
Develops and leads the marketing strategy for U.S. Bank Avvance Point of Sale Lending to deliver customer-centric, multi-channel marketing programs to maximize customer growth, retention and engagement. Identifies and communicates key performance indicators to ensure marketing strategies are yielding positive return on investment as well as to modify and optimize strategies as necessary. Manages professional employees and/or supervisors of complex support, production marketing team(s). Uses segment specific marketing strategies and media to launch marketing programs and/or products in collaboration with agencies, product, sales and technical teams.
Marketing Plan and Strategy Ownership
- Own the development and ongoing management of the Avvance marketing plan in support of merchant acquisition, onboarding, and activation goals.
- Translate Avvance business priorities into clear, executable marketing strategies across seller enablement, partner distribution, merchant‑to‑consumer marketing, and events.
- Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure marketing plans are aligned with product capabilities, growth priorities, and distribution strategies.
Marketing Asset Development and Management
- Create and maintain marketing assets supporting internal seller and external partner seller activities, including flyers, solution sheets, email templates, presentations, and sales enablement materials.
- Develop merchant‑to‑consumer marketing materials such as launch kits, in‑store signage, flyers, and co‑branded assets.
Trade Show and Event Marketing Support
- Own the planning and execution of Avvance trade show and event marketing support, including booth graphics, signage, handouts, digital displays, and supporting sales collateral.
- Ensure trade show messaging and materials are aligned with the Avvance marketing plan, product positioning, and compliance standards.
- Support pre‑event planning and post‑event asset updates to enable effective seller follow‑up and merchant engagement.
Messaging Consistency and Digital Alignment
- Coordinate and ensure consistent Avvance messaging across U.S. Bank.com, Avvance.com, and Elavon.com.
- Ensure marketing materials and digital content accurately reflect current product positioning, pricing constructs, and required disclosures.
Co‑Branded Creative Review and Compliance
- Serve as the primary reviewer for partner and merchant co‑branded marketing materials.
- Manage the end‑to‑end process for ushering creative assets through Legal and Compliance review.
- Ensure materials adhere to brand standards, regulatory requirements, and disclosure guidelines while supporting timely partner and merchant launches.
Operational Efficiency
- Establish repeatable templates, standards, and workflows to support scalable marketing execution.
- Improve turnaround times and predictability for seller, partner, merchant, and event‑related marketing requests.
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Six or more years of related experience in marketing and marketing strategy with proven ability to deliver results
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Knowledge of point‑of‑sale lending, installment financing, or related consumer credit products, including merchant‑ or partner‑distributed financial solutions
- Understanding of the competitive landscape for POS lending or adjacent fintech offerings, with awareness of regulatory and compliance considerations in financial services marketing
- Demonstrated ability to execute marketing initiatives through collaboration with product, sales, compliance, legal, and operations partners
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills, with the ability to manage relationships across multiple stakeholder groups
- Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills, with experience preparing clear, accurate marketing communications and enablement materials
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and take direction in support of business and marketing objectives
- Solid decision‑making and problem‑solving skills when working within established frameworks, processes, and timelines
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects or assignments simultaneously and deliver work on time and within budget
- Proficiency with standard business and marketing software applications and comfort navigating new systems and tools
- MBA or other demonstrated indicators of strong academic or professional achievement preferred
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $98,175.00 - $115,500.00
