Job description
As a (Senior) Manager in IT Audit & Assurance, you play a key role in leading client engagements, developing teams and contributing to the strategic growth of the practice. You are responsible for managing multiple engagements simultaneously, ensuring high-quality delivery and building strong relationships with clients and colleagues across the firm.
You work closely with team members and colleagues across the firm to deliver technology assurance services in support of financial statement audits, as well as broader technology and controls assurance engagements such as ISAE 3402 and other regulatory or compliance-driven reviews.
In today’s increasingly digital and regulated environment, organizations rely on complex technology ecosystems to support their operations and financial reporting. In this role, you help clients assess and strengthen controls across ERP environments, cloud platforms, digital applications and automated processes, ensuring that technology risks are appropriately managed and regulatory expectations are met.
As organizations increasingly adopt AI-enabled technologies, you will play an active role in understanding both the risks and opportunities that AI brings. This includes considering the impact of AI on control environments and governance, while also exploring how AI can enhance the way assurance is delivered. You are encouraged to experiment with AI tools, contribute to new ways of working and translate emerging AI capabilities into practical use cases for both our teams and our clients.
While IT audit remains the core of the role, you will also support clients on assurance related advisory engagements, providing insights on technology risk, governance, digital transformation and regulatory compliance. This requires a mindset that combines strong analytical and structured thinking with curiosity, adaptability and the ability to navigate both structured and evolving environments.
If you are excited by the above role description and meet the following criteria, we would be pleased to get to know you.
- You hold a (Post) Master’s degree (WO level) in a relevant field such as Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Data & AI, Business Administration, Accounting or a related discipline.
- You have 6+ years of relevant experience in IT audit, technology risk, IT risk management or a related field.
- You hold, are pursuing, or are willing to obtain a relevant professional qualification in technology risk, assurance or IT audit (e.g. Postmaster RE (Register EDP-Auditor), CISA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC or equivalent).
- You have experience performing audit and assurance procedures over business processes and IT systems, including modern technology environments.
- You have a strong understanding of IT control frameworks, enterprise systems and technology-enabled business processes, and are comfortable working across both technical and business domains.
- You demonstrate the ability to stay ahead of technology developments, with a track record of proactively adopting or leading the use of new technologies (e.g. AI, automation, cloud or other digital innovations) to enhance delivery, improve processes or create client value.
- You show a strong learning mindset and intellectual curiosity, with the ability to continuously upskill in response to technological and regulatory developments.
- You are fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
- You demonstrate strong project and engagement management capabilities.
- You are a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
- You are proactive, analytical and adaptable, with a strong sense of ownership and a collaborative mindset.
- You demonstrate resilience, tenacity and the ability to operate effectively in dynamic and evolving environments.
As a (Senior) Manager, you act as an advisor to your clients. You proactively identify risks, provide practical insights and help organizations strengthen governance, risk management and control frameworks across their technology landscapes. You will also play an important role in developing and coaching teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture. In addition, you contribute to the growth agenda of the practice, supporting proposals, building client relationships and collaborating across service lines to deliver integrated solutions.
The role requires a high degree of agility and resilience, as client environments, technologies and regulatory expectations continue to evolve. You demonstrate curiosity, tenacity and leadership, helping teams and clients navigate complex technology and risk challenges. You will work with a diverse portfolio of clients including listed companies, mid-sized businesses, start-ups and public sector institutions, across a variety of industries, with opportunities to further develop industry-specific expertise over time.
