CROSS DOCK FORKLIFT OPERATOR

We are looking for a Full-Time Forklift Operator who is responsible for using forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment to load, unload, move, stack, stage and count product and materials.  

Duties and responsibilities:

• Operate forklift (counterbalance) to load and unload trailers using load cards
• Handle large and heavy freight safely and efficiently
• Stack pallets properly following load patterns to prevent damage
• Move freight within the crossdock area with speed and accuracy
• Dim (measure) and weigh pallets as required
• Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies
• Perform daily equipment inspections
• Maintain cleanliness and complete housekeeping duties in the work area
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Other duties as assigned

• MUST have at least 2-3 years of experience with Forklift
• Must have an excellent attendance record
• High attention to quality standards and solid detail-orientation required
• Valid forklift certification
• Ability to read and write in English with proficiency
• Proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative
• punctuality and reliability
• Experience in a crossdock or warehouse environment preferred
• Good teamwork and communication skills

Salary:

$22.00 Per Hour to Start (potential shift premium after successful completion of probationary period).

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm
