The Value Optimization Engineer (VO) is responsible for planning, validating, and implementing cost reduction ideas to meet the Value Optimization Savings target by system and product area. The selected candidate will collaborate with engineers, suppliers, vehicle integration, purchasing, quality, finance, etc., in the thorough evaluation, validation, and presentation of recommended ideas and their respective business cases. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Supporting the SR (System Responsible) / DR (Design Responsible) to summarize savings at the system/product level, including vehicle-level potential for electrical components. - Generating and organizing ideas for system-level proposals. - Collaborating with engineering and suppliers to schedule the implementation of value optimization ideas. The key to this position is understanding and adhering to the core principles and processes, Key product development processes, such as: functional objectives, DFMEA, DVP&R, and understanding of corporate and competitive policies.
